“I’m so honored that our film won this amazing award. But more than that, it felt so great to return to my home state and meet everybody that participated in South Texas Underground Film Festival. It’s a terrific festival and I’m looking forward to seeing all they accomplish in the next few years,” said Hughes of the experience.

The film screened at the festival on Saturday, November 12th and provoked some thoughtful questions at the Talkback. Attending the festival on behalf of the film were Hughes, co-producer Sammy Dean Kusler and poet Steven Reigns.

Check back in early December for an announcement about our latest screening.
