Rex Lee (Entourage, Young & Hungry) will attend the premiere of his newest film, the black-and-white neo-noir poetry feature Guys Reading Poems at the 21st annual Palm Beach International Film Festival. He’ll also be an honored guest at the official festival party following the screening at Roosters. For more details, please visit the website of the Palm Beach International Film Festival.
Festival director Larry Richman said of the film, “Amidst the hundreds of submissions to the 21st Palm Beach International Film Festival, Guys Reading Poems was truly unique. I knew we had to include it in this year’s lineup. What a stroke of original filmmaking. We have nothing else like it and I don’t think we ever have in our history. I can’t wait for our audiences to experience it!”
Of Rex’s performance in the film, director Hunter Lee Hughes says, “I love Rex. He’s one of my best friends. And I’ve always loved his work as Lloyd in Entourage and Elliot in Young & Hungry. But I think it’s so exciting for audiences to see him in a completely different kind of role in Guys Reading Poems. I’m so grateful that our film gives him a chance to show his incredible versatility as an actor. You’ve never seen Rex like you see him in Guys Reading Poems.”
The film will premiere April 10th at 7:40 p.m. at The Palm Beaches Theatre, with a subsequent screening on Thursday, April 14th at 12:15 p.m. at Muvico Parisian. You can buy tickets to see the world premiere of the film here.
